RNA Technology Labs is an initiative of our EXPLORATIONS program and focuses on developing novel processes for the amplification, quality control, and repair of RNA with applications in therapeutics, diagnostics, mobile detection, and discovery.
Extreme Life is Useful
The evolution of life to thrive in extreme environments, especially microbial life with its wide range of biochemical reactions, has vast potential for aiding humankind. The remarkable biochemical and structural adaptations required for life to survive in these extreme conditions manifest in extraordinary, and potentially useful, protein machines. Our EXPLORATIONS program is dedicated to harnessing extreme proteins involved in DNA and RNA metabolism for industrial, diagnostic, and therapeutic applications.
